NYCMA Meeting ListThere are about 30 weekly CMA meetings in
Manhattan. There are different formats for meeting, and each meeting is autonomous
and sets the agenda and style of the meeting. For example, at speaker meetings,
a CMA member will share their personal story. They may describe their experiences
with crystal meth and other substances, how they came to CMA, and how their
lives have changed because of CMA.
What’s the difference between “open” and “closed” meetings? Open meeting: Welcomes anyone interested in the CMA program. In addition to regular CMA members, this can include friends and family members seeking information for a loved one, or those curious about the program and not sure it is right for them. Closed meeting: Welcomes anyone who has, or thinks they may have, a problem with crystal meth or any mind-altering substance. |
